Italian Pottery Workshops
Learn and practice Italian with Giada Gentile at Stef Baxter Pottery while learning how to make pottery.
Through a 5 week course Giada will teach different pottery techniques in Italian. It will be a welcoming and empathetic atmosphere and you will not only have the opportunity to speak Italian, but you will learn different hand building techniques and even try “throwing” on the potters wheel.
The workshops takes place on Mondays from 5.30 pm - 8pm and they are for anyone who are new to pottery who want a chance to speak Italian.
The starting date of the next run of 5 week workshops will be the 4th of May

About your teacher
Wee Hands is the alter ego of Giada Gentile. Originally from Italy, she moved to Glasgow in 2022.
With a background in visual arts, theatre, and pedagogy, Giada believes in the educational power of creativity and its ability to foster empathy and connection.
“I consider myself a curious and playful potter. I love every aspect of working with clay and use the material according to what I want to express. I might be handbuilding small sculptures, spinning pots on the wheel, or doodling cheerful illustrations using sgraffito and mixed techniques.”
